I’m Marco, a software engineer and remote contractor living in Tavira, in Portugal’s Algarve.

Most of my professional work revolves around .NET, JavaScript, and helping teams build software together. I’m interested not just in whether a system works, but in how people work with it—and with each other. Good engineering should make things clearer and more humane, not turn people into extensions of a process.

I value thoughtful engineering, pragmatic decisions, and collaboration that leaves room for people to do their best work. I’m happy to talk about projects, mentoring, mock interviews, or an idea that needs a sounding board.

Beyond work
